Independent Contractor, Referral & Liability Disclosure
Aurora Drywall Co. operates as a service coordination and referral platform. Our role is to help customers connect with independent, third-party contractors who provide drywall installation, drywall repair, taping, mudding, finishing, ceiling repair, and related renovation services.
Our Role
Aurora Drywall Co. does not itself perform drywall, construction, repair, renovation, or installation work.
Services requested through or referred by Aurora Drywall Co. are performed by independent third-party contractors who operate independently and are not employees, partners, joint venturers, or agents of Aurora Drywall Co.
Aurora Drywall Co. may assist with customer inquiries, scheduling, communication, estimates, referrals, and general service coordination. However, Aurora Drywall Co. does not control or direct the manner in which an independent contractor performs their work.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, any agreement for the performance of drywall or related trade services is between the customer and the independent contractor performing the work.
Independent Contractor Responsibility
Each independent contractor is solely responsible for their own business operations and for the services they perform, including:
The quality and completion of their workmanship
Determining the appropriate methods and procedures for completing the work
Compliance with applicable building codes, laws, regulations, and safety requirements
Obtaining any licences, permits, registrations, or certifications required for their work
Maintaining any insurance or workplace coverage required for their operations
The tools, equipment, materials, personnel, and procedures used to complete the work
Damage to property caused by their work
Injuries arising from their work or operations
Defects, deficiencies, delays, incomplete work, or required corrective work
Warranties or guarantees provided in connection with their services
Independent contractors retain responsibility for the services they agree to provide to customers.
No Employment or Agency Relationship
Independent contractors referred through Aurora Drywall Co. are independently operated businesses.
Nothing on this website, in a referral, or in communications with Aurora Drywall Co. is intended to create an employment relationship, partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship between Aurora Drywall Co. and an independent contractor.
Contractors are not authorized to make representations, warranties, commitments, or agreements on behalf of Aurora Drywall Co. unless specifically authorized in writing.
Contractor Selection
Aurora Drywall Co. may take reasonable steps to identify contractors capable of providing requested services. However, the availability of a contractor through our referral network does not constitute a guarantee, certification, or warranty regarding that contractor or the outcome of any work performed.
Customers are encouraged to ask the contractor any questions they consider appropriate regarding experience, insurance, qualifications, permits, pricing, warranties, and the proposed scope of work before authorizing services.
Liability Disclosure
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Aurora Drywall Co. is not responsible for acts, omissions, negligence, workmanship, property damage, personal injury, delays, defects, losses, disputes, or other issues arising from services performed by an independent third-party contractor.
Any concerns relating specifically to workmanship, damage caused during the work, incomplete work, warranties, defects, or corrective services should be raised directly with the independent contractor responsible for performing the service.
Aurora Drywall Co. does not assume responsibility for obligations that belong to an independent contractor solely because Aurora Drywall Co. introduced the parties or assisted with communication or coordination.
Nothing in this disclosure is intended to exclude or limit any responsibility of Aurora Drywall Co. that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable Ontario or Canadian law.
Pricing and Estimates
Prices and estimates for drywall or related services may vary depending on the contractor, property conditions, materials required, accessibility, the final scope of work, and conditions discovered after work begins.
Unless expressly guaranteed in writing by the contractor responsible for the work, Aurora Drywall Co. does not independently guarantee contractor pricing, estimates, completion dates, or project timelines.
Customers should ensure that the final scope of work and price are understood before authorizing a contractor to proceed.
Permits, Codes and Property Conditions
The independent contractor performing the work is responsible for determining the requirements applicable to their services, subject to any responsibilities that legally belong to the property owner.
Certain projects may require building permits, inspections, testing, or additional qualified trades.
Customers should disclose known property conditions that could affect the work, including previous water damage, mould, asbestos or suspected hazardous materials, hidden electrical or plumbing systems, structural concerns, or other relevant conditions.
No Warranties by Aurora Drywall Co.
Aurora Drywall Co. makes no independent express or implied warranty regarding services performed by third-party contractors.
Any workmanship warranty or service guarantee offered in connection with a project is the responsibility of the contractor providing that warranty unless Aurora Drywall Co. expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
Third-Party Disputes
Any dispute arising specifically from work performed by an independent contractor should first be addressed directly between the customer and that contractor.
Aurora Drywall Co. may, at its discretion, assist with communication between the parties but is not obligated to adjudicate disputes, issue refunds on behalf of contractors, perform corrective work, or satisfy obligations owed by an independent contractor.
Customer Acknowledgement
By requesting a contractor referral, accepting an introduction, booking through our service, or proceeding with services from a contractor introduced through Aurora Drywall Co., you acknowledge that:
Aurora Drywall Co. primarily provides referral and service coordination services
The physical work is performed by an independent third-party contractor
The contractor is responsible for the services they perform
Aurora Drywall Co. does not control the contractor's methods or day-to-day performance
Contractor-specific workmanship claims and warranties are generally matters between the customer and the contractor
This disclosure does not waive any rights or protections that cannot legally be waived under applicable law
If you do not agree with these terms, you should not proceed with a contractor referral arranged through Aurora Drywall Co.
